You guessed it- worse day ever AGAIN. The coronavirus death toll rose by 563 to 2,352 in total, the biggest day-on-day increase in the country since the pandemic began. Wimbledon cancelled (as if it was going ahead!) and Edinburgh festival too.
So April Fools Day.. I would still retain my humour if someone told me this had all been a huge joke and life would be back to normal. Only in the second week of what looks like it will be a 12 week stint.
Mum is suffering because of her arthritis and can’t take brufen so I hate knowing she is in pain. I just don’t know how to help them. It’s a pretty horrible feeling being so helpless!
On a positive note it was a gorgeous morning and the walk with Luna is my little haven- no one else ever seems keen to go and I guess I’m quite enjoying the indulgence of getting the time to myself now. I see a few familiar faces and am loving the friendliness of everyone and really hope this lasts! I saw my new friend Lucy today albeit briefly but that was nice too.

Not as much to write about during the day- some school work for Eashan, some chat time for Arushi and Millen, some work for me and bed for poor Matty … just until he has recuperated properly poor boy.

Had a work call too about moving forward and checking in with everyone . Really nice to see them. Whilst it often needs a surge of energy and possibly a brush of hair and change of clothing- it’s deffo very comforting seeing your friends / colleagues again.

Definitely a little on the light side here with the blog but the mornings are rolling into the afternoons which then quickly become evenings. Yes it is Groundhog Day and I think the physical exercise each day is vital to my well being. But it’s all ok so far and we’ve still not played a board game, watched a box set or framed a picture… so many things to do still!

Positive Thought:I’m grateful for technology- thank you zoom, house party, what’s apps . Thanks to this I can see Eashan enjoying Practising Oliver with his drama class, I can hear Millen screaming with delight playing Roblox, I can see Arushi and 20’of her classmates planning a surprise birthday call for Sophie turning 13 today. I can see Matt engaging with work colleagues and friends and me… wow my parents, my friends and my colleagues. Thank you so much! It’s bloody brilliant!
