I’ve done the fatal mistake of not writing this up on the day….. so am a little unsure of everything we did. Big mistake and will ensure not to do that rookie error again. So sorry for the lack of current affairs section for this reason too.
When I asked everyone what we did yesterday the response was “ nothing”…. hmmm I know that’s not true but if anything this highlights the purpose of the blog! So huge apologies but today is vague due to day merging rather than not doing anything!
The weather was pretty yucky yesterday. Luna woke alarmingly early- 530am. She must have been yapping for a while (also seems rather ironic that my positive thought from yesterday was Luna…. I can tell you I wasn’t feeling that love at 530am this morning!). Anyway Eashan and I were awake together so used the time to play code names . I then persuaded him to go back to bed as he was so tired and I thought I’d definitely sneak up later….. I tried about 3 times but she wasn’t having any of it. In the end I put on a podcast and listened to it as my eyes were too tired to read. I swapped with Matt around 730 and typically Luna then fell asleep for hours…. meaning routine all went a bit left field and there was no walk for Luna until the afternoon.
I made a birthday cake for MJ and dropped it off thinking we’d head to Clapham Common for a mix up… but Matty thinks he’s broken his toe by stumping it on the bed so the short walk to MJ’s made us quickly realise that CC was a bit hopeful. It was lovely to have a chat with MJ albeit 2M distance but I quite enjoy the pavement chats these days.
We then headed to Wandsworth Common and rather fortuitously we bumped into the Scott family. So nice to have a catch up! Eashan loved seeing Woody and playing cricket with him and Arushi and Isla had fun chatting and fussing over lucky Luna!

We spent a large part of the day (not that you can tell) getting this together for Caroline’s bday message. I rewrote the words to Do re mi as she’s a big S of M fan. We have always joked about putting on a S of M musical on for her…. hmmm. We performed this originally on the Common as it was brighter – but also very embarrassing as kept seeing people we knew! Anyway it’s going to be merged with Swathee and Charlie’s by clever Lexi and then we can send it to Caroline.
This next part will no doubt explain why I didn’t write the blog last night. We had virtual drinks for MJ’s bday. I was celebrating with a glass of wine but somehow Chris very kindly asked us what cocktails we would like and Ana then delivered two beautiful handshaken drinks- a negroni for Matt and a pisco sour for me. Delicious but way more than I have been used to!!

Positive Thoughts: cocktail delivery – what a treat!
