Day 3 Monday March 23rd 2020

A total of 335 people have died in the UK after testing positive for coronavirus – an increase of 54 since yesterday.

Boris’s message – national emergency. For the next 3 weeks we are officially not allowed out except for limited purposes

Which include:-

1. Shopping for basic necessities

2. One form of exercise a day alone or with your house hold

3. Any medical need

4. You should not be meeting friends or family members who don’t live in your house.

5. If we don’t follow the rules the police can enforce fines. All shops to shut apart from supermarkets and chemists . All social events to be cancelled.

So today was our first day of working at home and school – I also woke up feeling shivery and a headache so that didn’t help.

Time has gone incredibly slowly but we aren’t really bored yet so that’s good.

We had schooling today with a zillion what’s app messages of anxious parents not getting onto certain websites- I think that was the most stressful part of my day to be honest- I will have to seriously consider turning whats app off for some of the day as it’s crazy and I don’t have enough self control to not keep looking at messages if my phone is next to me.

Surprisingly, we managed to stick to our timetables for today and carried out most of the activities which included chess with some friends for the boys ( slight carnage but hopefully will get better)… then yoga and then some PE with Joe Wicks.

We had a go at doing an art on line session, a drawing session and a baking session too as well as normal lessons! All fun and games!

Who wears a shirt for a work out Eashan?

Arushi was trying to think of ways to help the community today- how lovely is this- sadly she won’t be able to go any further with this now with the current rules….but gorgeous sentiment nonetheless! So proud of this thoughtful kid!
A very sweet card from Millen for one of our neighbours that we have been helping – very kind of him!

My photos of the virtual baking lesson haven’t worked but there will be more of that this week!

Eashan entertained himself by creating some superhero type outfit from cardboard and a LOT of tape!

Then entertained ourselves with a game of jack box tv with Uncle Martin- everyone loved it!

Positive Thought- still hardly watched any TV or done any board games yet- managed to entertain ourselves quite well so far .
