Day 66 Monday May 25th 2020

Exciting day- Catarina was coming today to clean the house! Amazing! So for this to happen we said we would go out of the house…. we decided on a walk in what we thought would be a pretty remote area… ha so deffo nowhere in South west London then! Headed off from Kent to the north downs for a walk from Wye… once voted the 3rd most beautiful villages to live in.

So with baseball caps and a hat that Huckleberry Finn would pay top dollar for we were off for a good old hike!
The views were sensational!
Soaking it all up!!

It was only a 5 miler but it was hilly and hot, however it was nice. Luna LOVED being off her lead … i think she prefers the country to the city… talk about heart breaking!

Pretty empty paths
Enjoyed a picnic lunch just before this pic was taken
Love the kissing gates

It was a great day but also one which once again consolidated my love for London. I just could not live in the country- yes it’s beautiful, way less pollution, you could have way more space, no neighbours if that’s what you wanted…. but you have to drive everywhere..: you have to have a plan of where you want to go and I don’t relish the idea of Saturday night is the local pizza express or bistro … I love variety and having access to everything depending on my mood. Yes we had to drive 90 minutes to get to this walk but I’ve love the urban walks and cycle rides. I guess there have been times when I’ve thought it would be nice to live in the country during lockdown albeit fleetingly … think I’m pretty much a Londoner through and through now…. 21 years ! Maybe I am a Londoner finally? Our kids must be having been born and bred here…

Headed home to a gorgeous clean house and a class quiz organised by Robin. Lots of fun and perfect end to a great day!

Bbq for supper and went to bed pretty knackered!

Positive Note: so many kissing gates today on our walk and how lucky am I that Eashan stopped and kissed me at every one!❤️
