Boris’s message: well to be fair it was Michael Gove as Bojo still self isolating and actually now His pregnant fiancé has the symptoms even though she’s not residing with currently. Poor thing. Anyway main news was about conspiracy theories on social media blaming new 5Gmasts for the spread of coronavirus which Gove said was “dangerous nonsense” while the national medical director of the NHS said it was the “worst kind of fake news”. Why do we have time for fake news??? I don’t get it!
Back to normal today, so just me up to walk the dog but that was fine. I had a quiet cup of tea and read in the kitchen first and then set off- it was chilly and damp but still great to be outdoors and chat. I even spoke to a Belleville dad who’s not been that chatty before but was so engaging – he even offered to bring some puppy food tomorrow morning for Luna! How kind!
Excitingly Matt was feeling a bit better today so that’s great! Our morning was spent catching up with admin and the kids enjoyed playing together so that was nice. They also decided (well, I encouraged) to enter a writing competition, which was to continue a mini story by writing 250 words, which kept the kids very busy, so it was a win-win!
We even had time for some games. I’d dressed this game up to make it a bit more enticing… nothing like a do not open envelope to grasp your attention!

Today was the first day Matt has been out of the house for over 7 days so whilst I’d been out for Luna’s walk ( obviously obeying the minimum 2M distancing) I couldn’t resist going out again with my family for a little afternoon stroll. It was the first time the 5 of us have been out together since the day I started this blog!

Again it was lovely and social bumping into several families that we knew- always good to catch up.

as it’s still too big so she can wriggle
Out of it hence the bear hug walk home!
We rushed home to catch up with various people. M and D were on good form so that was great. We also had a house party with Hen and Paddy which was lovely as always if a little chaotic as the children each had a device each to chat to them! The feedback was pretty earsplitting.

Quick lockdown quiz. Martin and Arushi were a formidable force on it! Definitely
Going to play that again!
After supper we couldn’t quite agree on a TV programme to all watch so we ended up retreating to different parts of the house to do things such as this blog, chatting to friends, surfing the web, finishing the competition etc so just before bed I remembered one of our to do lists ( did I mention on day 1 we wrote a humongous list of things we wanted to do during this lock down)… anyway one of mine was to attempt some world records… we aren’t talking Usain Bolt sprinting here ; more the crazy types of stuff that you think ‘ooh I’d give that a go….’ so that’s what we did!

O M G It was so unbelievably TOUGH
Arushi, Millen, Eashan and I all achieved a big fat 0. Matt managed 3 so we resorted to doing it without the blindfold !

Technique

Positive thought :Matty is better- bloody amazing after 8 days of feeling rubbish!
