Painful night again. Luna has started barking so loudly in the middle of the night i am feeling quite anxious that we will receive complaints from our neighbours. She just barks incessantly around 2am- she has done this for the last 3 nights or so. We’ve moved her bed, given her food, let her out. Soothed her… it’s just so harrowing to be literally woken with such a stark abrupt to the forlorn yelling in the middle of the still night. No idea why!!
Catherine had a zoom call booked and very sweetly did a treasure hunt and quiz for the children which was nice!

In the afternoon the children had their music lesson.
Sue has told me about Wimbledon common and sent me the following sign saying it might be quite good to take Luna.. what a brilliant idea.

Oh my what a delight Wimbledon Common was! Firstly it is simply MASSIVE!!! It’s the largest open space in south west Common totalling 1140 acres ( with Putney common) compared to 220 acres for Clapham Common, 176 acres of Wandsworth common, … Richmond Park is still way bigger at 2360 acres .. but it’s not classed as an open space. Anyway I’ve been there before for some walks and bike rides but I don’t know it “all all” , but wow today’s trip deffo wet my appetite to get to know it more. We headed for the windmill and walked from there through a very plush golf course … what a treat!

Scary Moment Alert: Arushi and Eashan have climbed trees right from as soon as they could. It’s a natural love for them ( not shared by Millen… who gives up quite quickly and needs a help up… he gets that from me… poor thing!) anyway to show you Arushi’s love for climbing at the age of 6… she unbeknown to me climbed this tree and just yelled hello!!

Anyway enough of what happened 6 years ago… more about how today in my side view in slow motion I just saw Arushi fall from a branch… luckily nothing like this height from this photo above but still a good 3 metres… panic literally filled every orifice of my body- I feared the worse for that split second which felt like a whole minute. Nauseous and sick, Matt and I observed how Arushi gingerly rubbed her head and said she could see stars…. we checked her movement, her speech, her memory… thank God she was ok ! Such a relief! I was so panicked… but also I didn’t want her to have this sudden fear of climbing so I suggested she climbed again… she did ! Phew ! All ok. Anyway as you can see big fright. She’s also NOT a drama queen so she was so calm and collected by it all… she really was amazing! God forbid if anything would have happened to her!
We enjoyed our woodland walk and vowed to be back ( without any more tree falling dramas) soon!
We returned home a bit tired and collapsed in front of the TV and as it was my choice tonight it meant we got to see some contemporary art and dance show I’ve been wanting to watch. The older two humoured me and did a good job of being interested… Eashan on the other hand curled up asleep with Looney tunes.

Positive Note. Arushi can walk!!!… I’m the dramatic one!
