Day 68 Wednesday 27th May 2020

I’m so getting into half term….it’s the weather and the ability to be outside discovering new places and possibly still seeing being social as long as we socially distance. Today we met Putney Jo for a gorgeous walk at our new favourite localish haunt- Wimbledon Common!

It was divine- we went to a whole new part of the common- I would have said by the golf course… but there is 3 golf courses … I know!!! We headed off by the Royal golf club into the gorgeous woods.. the kids even paddled in the brook… and gorgeous seeing and catching up with Jo too!

On the way to the common we dropped some stuff of with Eva who presented us with a bottle of homemade Elderflower cordial … yum.., this naturally led to me explaining my want to do this but having a Big confusion between elderflower and cowparsley… luckily she walked me over to Tooting common to show me some … and this meant we could then confidently collect enough sprigs on Wimbledon common.

Da- dah!

Also rather excitingly by the time I got home , a beautiful arrangement of flowers arrived for my bday from the Hoopers. How gorgeous…. this in turn meant I forgot about the elderflower and didn’t quite get into making the cordial…. I will though another time!

It was also book club bday catch up- I think the prosecco meant I forgot to take photos! Oops … but here is one at the end of the last four of us !

Picnic fun

And if that wasn’t enough we then had a birthday front garden drinks invite from Sanj and Shubs- very nice to sit and have some posh wine and cheese with them! Yet another treat!

Positive Note- so many.. lovely walks, lovely flowers, lovely friends…. and my bday tomorrow!!!
