My hero Chris Whitty (who I’ve now found myself weirdly enough googling to ascertain as much personal info about him as poss……. if that’s not a sign of not enough to do during lockdown I don’t know what it) anyway he has said this virus is not going to disappear just like that – in fact he said “We have to accept that we are working with a disease that we are going to be with globally for the foreseeable future.”
He added: “If people are hoping it’s going to suddenly move on from where we are now in lockdown suddenly into everything’s gone, that is a wholly unrealistic expectation.
We are going to have to do a lot of things for really quite a long period of time, the question is what is the best package.”
Dominic Raab meanwhile refused to say whether some lockdown restrictions could be eased when it is reviewed on May 7, while admitting there was now a “glimmer” of hope as the UK passes the peak of infections.
He suggested there are reasons to be optimistic with daily death rates and new cases slowly falling, and hospitalisations falling in London and flattening in the rest of the country
I woke today and could not hear Luna but it was about 540am. So I thought I’d wait until she was up… by 630 I couldn’t hear any barking so panicked- quickly got dressed to find an empty crate and Arushi not in bed! Bless her she had taken her out! After calling to confirm this is indeed what she was doing it meant I could crack on with my exercise. Arushi came and joined me half way through in her jumper and tights whilst I was dropping sweat and panting!!
The children had school and Matty worked and I carried on with laundry, cooking and trying to catch up with emails. All a bit dull. And now we are all back to normal work it’s definitely getting harder to write more about what we’ve done so as it’s just lessons for the kids with chat time, house party, playing in the garden etc… nothing too exciting!

Eashan enjoyed making a sketch book for school.

We headed to Oddonos for some ice cream after lunch. Weirdly no queue at all- as in I know it’s lockdown but every time I’ve gone past there’s been a queue but maybe lunch time is the best time to go.
Eashan has let’s act for an hour and a half after school which he’s always completely enthralled with and keeps him entertained, and means there is blissful silence – win win!
Then Matt decided that he could not bear looking at the boys helmets any longer and the clippers were out . Eat your heart out isolation haircuts!

In the evening following a Luna walk, the kids and I watched an episode of Race around the world whilst Matty hosted a virtual poker night! Fun!

Positive Note: Really not sure what I’m doing with my time but the days are flying and I’m going to bed exhausted! It’s going to be an absolute shocker when we are unleashed to the real world…. I won’t want to do anything!
