The news…. really nothing new! Still no vaccine, still no idea how long this will go on for , still staying at home and socially distancing , still trying to home educate ( ofsted ungraded in our house), economy in its knees and no one wants oil.
Oh dear oh dear oh dear…. or shall I say Luna, Luna, Luna! Worst night ever! Matt (clearly not been reading my blog nor listening to his wife’s sage words) when he finished his poker night went into the kitchen and then let her out…. oh dear… poor Matty tried leaving her several times and boy did she howl…. he followed these steps:
1. Cajole Luna to sleep whilst not moving an inch.
2. Gingerly move her into crate.
3. Creep up stairs
4. Lie in bed exhausted listening to her deafening howls waking up everyone in our house and no doubt fractious neighbours too!
5. Storm back downstairs in a grump and repeat process!
After doing this several times Matty just ended up sleeping on the sofa in the kitchen until she woke at 5 and then Arushi came down at 7am and relieved him. I slept till 8 as I was knackered and all of us didn’t feel she needed a walk as she had been up half the night! So we all had a slow start- Arushi read her book, Millen had time on the computer and and Eashan and I did some exercise … albeit a shorter class as I was tired.

School was all good and the doorbell has not stopped ringing due to the kindness of everyone helping donate stationery everyone for refugee children living in temporary home office accommodation. We can barely get out of the door for all the stuff! I kid you not!
Ooh also some lovely news- Arushi wrote a story ( well all three of them did) in the holidays for a competition and low and behold Arushi’s story won. Actually I need to dig it out and post it as a memory. Anyway didn’t she do well!

It looks like it’s going to be scorchio for a few days and one of Eashan’s school challenges was to make ice lollies… so instead of making healthy ones we opted for Diet Coke and lemonade… not quite what school would have had in mind!
My old work colleague Sue had set us a challenge to find this sign – today we succeeded! We had a fab cycle ride and left Luna as thought after last night we are doing a disservice to her and she needs to be left alone… only for 45 mins but we did it!

Following supper we had a chat with various friends and family and then did the clap. Annoyingly I didn’t film it tonight and it was the best one yet- oh well. There is always next week.. and the week after that etc .
As the amount of stuff for the refugees was seriously building up so I took it all over tonight – it was amazing driving. It takes you two seconds to get anywhere! I felt very naughty driving!

Positive note: Luna went to sleep when I put her in her crate at 845pm and there wasn’t a single whine or any sleeping on the sofa going on!
