Day 52 Monday May 11th 2020

Boris Johnson “actively encouraged” the nation to get back to work as he unveiled a three-step “road map to recovery” from the coronavirus lockdown on Sunday nightAmazing to have a lie in again till 730, and is lovely to have Matty join me for orange theory today. He didn’t cut any corners that’s for sure!

We had a pretty routine day…. work/ school/ shopping etc.

So I tried to mix it up by getting the paints out for Eashan’s art class! Very rock and roll!

I decided that I needed some advice about Luna as we see dithering about so many things- should she be in a crate? Should she be eating more than one chew a day? What do we do to get her to stop nipping Eashan….. Suzanne had told me about a pet food shop kind of Lavender Hill way so I thought I’d take her there for a walk today. The woman was amazing! So helpful and so kind. And if that wasn’t lucky enough there was a woman chatting to her outside her shop… none other than local puppy trainer Winnie Spiers…. we did look at using her but she was ridiculously expensive … but today I got 20 mins of advice from her for free! How’s that for an upturn of the books. Also I’m quite glad I didn’t go with her as a puppy trainer as she is fierce ! Anyway lots of advice sought which was gratefully received an a sheet load of chews bought including a COLLOSAL ostrich bone. I kid you not if the puppy Trainer and dog food shop owner had not both wholeheartedly insisted on this bone having seen the size of Luna there is no way I would have w purchased if! But desperate times!

Also rather excitingly the tip has reopened!! So that gave me the impetus to change our sofa cushions ( there was a default with them and the company sent a new set just before lockdown but they are quite bulky and with no tip I didn’t think there was much point in replacing them for now) …

There was a queue but it wasn’t as ridiculously long as I ve seen it on bank holiday weekends!
Subsequently Luna has a new plush orange bed!

The children and I watched my official favourite programme of lockdown on catch up. This is soooooo good!!!!!!

The evening went a little wrong with a disastrous food quiz that I’d signed us and Martin in…. it was full of food journalists and people who worked in the industry…. that’s fine… but it was more of a social so all felt a little awkward. We ended up leaving .. embarrassing!

The evening finished with an MLC catch up so a perfect end to the night!

Positive Note: Grayson’s art club…. I love it that much!
