Day 61 Wednesday May 20th 2020

This is the alarming news today… check out all my grey hairs!!!! OMG! I’m so old and so grey!!

So Millen was keen to do another run this morning so Matt and him went off whilst I did my exercise .

Already seen an improvement!

So this morning I met Sarah for a walk – so lovely to see her and not sure why we haven’t met earlier but it was great to have a natter before returning home to children ensconced in school work allowing me to get on with my work.

Arushi’s exams have started today so we are trying to keep quiet and calm to help the environment but to be honest she’s pretty chilled anyway and doesn’t seem to notice any noise from us.

Today was my first day for delivering the refugees food. I went to get supplies from the food bank – wow this is an incredibly oiled machine and I feel I should be doing more to help them. I did offer but they need help on Thursday mornings which I can’t do sadly due to work but hey it’s good to know where I can go to help if I get some free time.

Check out the food station- so well organised and luckily cool in this hot weather
Some of the yummy food deliveries for the refugees.

In our team meeting at work today we ironed out what next steps might be looking like- there is simply SO much to think about – it’s all incredibly daunting!

We didn’t do much else that evening- Matt and the boys went for a walk whilst Arushi revised and i read! All very chilled. Sorry not a very eventful day… well there’s been a few of those… let’s be honest!

Positive Note: Always so humbling seeing the refugees and the journey they have come just to get to some form of safety. We have been so lucky in our lives!
