Day 41 Thursday April 30th

So Bojo is back to work having just been in intensive care 3 weeks ago and his partner giving birth to his baby yesterday. Got to give him praise for his commitment. Wonderful News is that UK is past the peak of the coronavirus outbreak, as he pledged to publish a “road map” out of the lockdown next week, covering the economy and getting people back to work and school. So things are looking on the up.

The day did not start off well today… well that’s not quite true … it was amazing. Everyone was up at 630 to get me and the boys to school for 730. Bags all packed with school books, art stuff, reading stuff etc and 3 sets of packed lunches and snacks… huge panic set in if the boys suddenly got hungry as there was nowhere to get anything so overcompensated by literally taking contents of entire snack draw. Anyway go in….. boys amazingly well behaved considering all a bit weird for them and girls and teachers just wondering why they are here ( even though explained and obviously confirmed it was all ok – anyway I then get a call from Pippa at 830 am stating the head of finances “is not happy” and we have to leave straight away! I’m panicked and wonder who can take my position and then feel so guilty for my two little boys who are rather confused …. why this had not been checked out before is beyond me. Anyway we were home by 930 and carried on with a normal day! The head has been liaising with me all day about how we can work it out for next week and she will fight it and no doubt search for some break clause in the insurance document but if I’m honest… it’s going to be really hard for the boys to be at school since I can’t give them any attention as the girls I’m with need full on teaching and the boys can’t get any attention at home with Matt working all day…. anyway, enough with me rambling.

Eashan and I did some art to relieve the tension…. check out his Matisse cut out….hilarious seeing him cut out the curve in the breast!!!

Suddenly not being in school meant I could spend the day looking at the lesson plans for tomorrow and getting my head round teams so it was beneficial to me! Walking the dog and doing some shopping was good too.

We had Will’s book arrive today! Looks for an interesting read!

Matty decided a 3D phone call with friends was the way forward to cheer me up… and it worked!

Positive Note- thank goodness for my gorgeous family to pick me up after a farce of a day. Work have been incredibly disorganised and it’s not good!
