Day 35 Friday April 25th 2020

Boris Johnson will return to work on Monday and is “raring to go”, a Downing Street spokeswoman has confirmed…. wow ! He is going to face his toughest week yet as lots of pressure being applied for returning back to work strategy. … let’s see what happens!

Early start but not just me this morning – even Eashan was up at 540am so I sent him back to bed bless him. After a cuppa and unloading the dishwasher I took Luna for a walk and met my new sailing friend Lucy. It was nice to have company at this hour. I feel that into the groove that I even had the Balls to walk over to the lacrosse mum and congratulate them on their wonderful commitment and how I was in awe of their dedication and hard work and hoped they went far! How’s that for community spirit – no doubt they thought “weirdo”!

It was a great morning with exercise , breakfast and even a visit from the boiling tap man to fix it… exciting times. Deffo felt I was getting into the groove but then it all went horribly wrong…I noticed two missed calls from my head… it could only mean one thing. Yup we’ve furloughed you for 3 weeks – 2.5 weeks was holidays and now it’s time to come back… yup and that’s pretty much it! I’ve got to go in to look after the keyworker kids for 2 days and the rest of the time look after year 6 with online lessons and presence. Gulp!!! Online lessons! I feel nauseous and sick! Matt felt nauseous and sick at the thought of having to look after the kids home schooling himself as I won’t be physically here… oh and I’ve got to be at school for 730 leaving walking the dog to everyone else! Oh dear!

I tried to eradicate the bad mood I had… how ridiculous. I’m so lucky to have a job I like but I guess I was loving spending time with the kids and just making food for everyone, laundry and even a little cleaning here and there… but hey ho I just need to stop worrying about it and Matt will be fine managing his job and the kids schooling. He will no doubt do a better job then me!

So I headed to the supermarket in the afternoon queuing for ages but it’s a gloriously hot day so it was quite nice. Afterwards I headed off to to meet Jo from work but Luna was not being very cooperative and just stopped everywhere every few seconds making me very late! It was lovely to see her and she walked back over to our side of the common .

Even quite colour coordinated!
I really wasn’t filming this over and over again to get “The shot”….
Honest
Home made noodles for supper

Chilled out night of salmon, noodles and rose followed by family viewing of Jonathan creek completely intertwined with arguments of who had more of the blanket/ sofa/ anything !

Positive Note- digging deep because annoyed about returning back to work already… so lucky to have had half a week off! Whoop whoop.
