Day 26 Wednesday April 15th

Today’s press release was chaired by Matt Hancock and it was mainly about grieving families and allowing goodbyes “wherever possible”. He also launched a new network to supply personal protective equipment (PPE) to care home staff.

I am definitely grateful for the blog as days are beginning to merge. I think we are all quite into the groove now of the lockdown and it’s going to be quite a shocker going back to normal life with 3 children at 3 different schools, various clubs and sporting matches, both of us working, a puppy, our voluntary roles and a decent social life too…. just writing it all down is making me worry! At the moment our life is so simplistic and yet we’ve not got bored and had a lot of laughs. I desperately miss seeing my parents . It’s hard not seeing family and friends of course but whilst that isn’t good, how lucky are we that we have some wonderful technological aids to help us at least see/ chat/ interact with our loved ones.

Arushi walked Luna in the morning, and after it was another beautiful day so it was lovely both walking Luna and exercising outside. The morning I spent doing admin whilst the children entertained themselves.

Having made what I believe is the best banana cake ever I couldn’t resist making a gingercake as a cook along ( I’m not sure why I do them… there’s no recipe so when you’re left there trying to desperately catch up as everyone keeps talking to me and I’m left with 3 ingredients that I still need…. it always ends up being more stressful than I envisage… yet I plough on… its weirdly quite nice cooking with someone even if it’s virtual!

We had some class challenges sent our way today!

We tried some new games with the Gardner family tonight and then had a chat with them . Lovely as always!

Positive note:

Enjoying the gentle pace of life – still haven’t done half the thing on our list!
