Day 78 Saturday June 6th 2020

Matty went for a long bike ride this morning – probably perfect weather as it didn’t actually rain but was cool. However poor Matt G got a puncture and his practicalities made him sound very similar to me which gave Matt huge amusement.

Meanwhile the 4 of us stayed at home. We toyed with the idea of joining the BlackLives Matter protest in memory of George Floyd but decided against it with the current social distancing requirements- Did we do the right thing? I don’t know.

Central London was packed…. there were satellite protests all over London including a family friendly one in Tooting… such an important match and also vital for the kids to see- ironically Millen’s school value was justice this week!

With the unexpected puncture and the social distancing dilemma we opted out- but went for a local walk up to Clapham Common. It’s so inspiring seeing what some of the residents have done with their creative windows!

This one is one of our favourites- it makes me feel so joyous and if I was their postie or bin man I’d deffo be feeling the love!

Still chilly, we retuned home for me to catch up with work and everyone else to just lounge about … fair enough it is Saturday! Matty made a yummy supper incorporating some of our Mallinson road home crop…

Ok so it’s not about the quantity right now!

A very chilled day all in all!

Positive note- That I haven’t had to work on a Saturday until now!
