Luckily the weather this morning was quite nice so we all grabbed the opportunity to be outside. Matty went on a bike ride to Ally Pally taking in lots of lovely London sights including giraffes in Regent’s Park! The 4 of us took Luna for a walk to Clapham Common as you’re allowed to take her off the lead there too.
When we left it was still relatively quiet and our first stop was one of the parts of the common near Broomwood road and it was rather fab being able to let her off the lead with no one else picnicking, exercising or doing something similar with their dog meaning we had free rein to all run around and kick a ball and let Luna the lunatic sprint from treat to treat…. convincing ourselves we doing a great job with her training!

Again as always , so lovely bumping into people we haven’t seen for a while. We also treated ourselves to a breakfast treat from Gails… I know – the kids couldn’t quite believe it! By the time we got back Matty was home too.
That afternoon I spent several hours baking thanks to one of my bday presents from the family for a 3 hour baking tutorial. I even made my own jam! I’ve never done that before….. it was so easy and I also felt very professional using my thermometer. I stupidly forgot to take any photos other than these two.

The weather had once again turned but we were prepared this time and the heating was on and tracks bums were ready.
We spent the rest of the evening catching up on admin bits so so not much to report!
Positive Notes: Learning new skills ( even if it is how to roll a Swiss roll, make a glossy ganache , use a substitute for pectin in jam making….. peeled and shredded apple by the way….) is such a positive feeling and one that shows us how much we desperately need to learn and develop all the time.
