Day 89 Wednesday June 17th June

So clearly my brain was very much in lockdown mode – the girls are returning to school in their different bubbles from tomorrow so all morning live lessons were cancelled today for us to attend a 3 hour meeting about our rules and regulations and plan our activities. In our year group we completely took that to mean a zoom meeting- err no it was a real meeting! So after a little kerfuffle in getting to school with attempt remove weetabix from my hair and dog treats in my pocket I got there just in the nick of time! Not a stress free morning!

It was SO nice to see lots of my colleagues but also so weird not to hug them and obviously stand a distance apart … makes you realise how normally we all gravitate towards each other and want to inhale almost every word each other is saying…. especially after not seeing each other for 3 months. It’s been longer than the summer holidays… but apparently not as long as Bryan Adams was number 1… which for the factophiles amongst us was a whopping 16 weeks!

It was so lovely to see my colleagues but so weird not hugging them or even standing close to them! It felt like I was disinterested in what they were saying standing so far away… but clearly that wasn’t the case! Just all a bit bizarre!

Eashan had Oliver rehearsals after school and today was a dress rehearsal! We thought he looked the part!

Haircut time again- Matt is getting quite the pro!

With Caroline back, we had an MLC meet up at Swathee’s – it was meant to be a walk but it was chucking it down… it was so nice to be together ( Charlie joined us virtually… which is so funny as that didn’t feel at all weird …. whereas if we wouldn’t have had lockdown it would have been weird from the 4 of us living here to Charlie moving away and then dialling in…) IYSWIM! Anyway needless to say a gorgeous evening in stunning surroundings with the most wonderful and generous hospitality with the most genuine and caring friends… very lucky!

Positive Note- Finally after lots of tooing and froing with Eashan and being fortunate enough to have a choice with schools… we made it… and it’s such a relief to have made it and now not thinking about it .. if that makes sense!
