So today Millen started back at school. He was SO excited .. almost giddy with excitement… to such a degree , in my lockdown shameless yet sensitive self, took offence at how desperate he was to run off into the school grounds!! He’d been lucky enough to have friends contacting us saying they’ve sent emails to the head asking for them to be together…. not sure how effective and is there a possibility of having the opposite effect? I thought so.. but hey ho let’s see!
Millen being Millen was up early, breakfasted , changed and literally waiting at the door! He’s been amazing emptying the dishwasher every morning.. for about a month I’d say now, cleaning any Luna mess, letting her out, all before the rest of us have even woken. He’s such an early bird… unlike the other 4 people in this household!
I missed him loads today.. the house was so quiet! Anyway the rest of the day was pretty much a non event- just work for the 4 of us and a LOT of rain… Eashan had a lovely time watching many stories as he didn’t have his brother to keep him occupied… only 2 weeks till he finishes!
When I went back to get him at 4.10…. he was deffo more tired than he has been for the last 90 days but he was hilarious ….as soon as he walked out of school this was our first chat …
“ Oh wow we had meatballs for lunch. Delish!…. what did you have mummy… bet you had another boring sandwich … giggle giggle!”
So now not only preferring the company of his friends to us but also our lunches are considered dull… hmmmph!😂
Eashan and I headed for a walk with Ben and Swaps early evening which was lovely and Matty squeezed in another cycle ride followed by a beer on the very active Northcote Road!
Positive Note: so lovely to see how happy Millen is at school… even though he prefers to home.. I’ll have to get over that!
